Detective Anna Flores

City of Milwaukee Police Detective

Detective Flores is a detective with the Milwaukee Police Department, bringing over a decade of law enforcement experience, including the past six years focused specifically on human trafficking investigations. She has spent half of her career assigned to the Sensitive Crimes Division, where she has dedicated her work to protecting victims, holding traffickers accountable, and raising awareness about the realities of exploitation. For her, this work is more than a profession — it is a calling rooted in a deep commitment to protecting the vulnerable.

Throughout her career she has trained law enforcement professionals, community organizations, and members of the public to recognize the signs of trafficking and respond in ways that truly support survivors. She is also recognized as an expert witness in court, where her experience helps strengthen cases and bring justice to victims. She holds a master's degree in Criminal and Social Justice with a focus on Homeland Security, as well as a bachelor's degree in Justice Studies.

At Defend Your Worth, Anna plays a key role in education and prevention, teaching communities about sexual exploitation — including how online grooming, relationship grooming, and recruitment tactics are used to manipulate and control victims. She helps people understand how to identify warning signs, recognize when someone may be in danger, and respond in ways that prioritize safety and support. She believes awareness is one of the most powerful tools in preventing exploitation.
